Global trade compliance is a ginormous undertaking. This will be an interactive roundtable discussion.

Global Trade Compliance Series (Episode 2): The Value(s) of Proper Valuation on a Commercial Invoice

Any product, shipped to or received from anywhere in the world, has value. That value must be represented clearly and accurately on the Commercial Invoice accompanying any shipment. You will pay duties, taxes and tariffs based on the value of the shipment. There’s potentially big trouble lurking if the value is misrepresented. At best you’ll have to pony up more cash for duties; at worst you could be facing substantial fines and penalties – not to mention the damage it could do to your company’s reputation.

What You’ll Learn:

  • What is product valuation (what it means)
  • Why proper product valuation is important
  • Methods for determining value of a product
  • How product returns/refresh/repairs/configuration affect value

Hosts: Ryan Miller, VP of Global Marketing and Flash experts

Global Trade Compliance Series (Episode 3): Doing Business in APAC

From a trade compliance perspective, conducting business in the Far East has been a bit like the Wild, Wild West. Sure, each country has its unique rules, regulations and processes, but there has been little to no consistency across the region. This has made the already daunting task of global trade compliance even more challenging. However, change you need to know about is starting to sweep the region, specifically when it comes to moving encrypted high-tech goods into and out of APAC countries. Episode 3 of our Global Trade Compliance Series focuses on Doing Business in APAC. This interactive roundtable discussion, hosted by Flash Global’s foremost experts in the region, will focus on significant changes that are already in motion or will be soon in Southeast Asia.
