Charley Hoffman fought the challenging back nine to a draw on Friday, and because of that he and the Flash Global logo are in position for some air time on national TV as The Barclays and the FedExCup Playoffs head into the weekend.

Charley capped a steady performance after the turn with a birdie at the par-4 18th for a score of 2-under 69 on the day. He finished 54 holes at 2-under 140; that’s good enough for a tie for 19th overall, just six shots back of front-runner Patrick Reed.

Proving that the back-nine struggles from the previous day would not derail his quest for a title this first stop in the FedExCup Playoffs, Charley started with a birdie atcharley hoffman flash global the first hole Friday. He would go on to add birdies at the seventh and ninth holes, the latter punctuated with a nifty putt from 18 feet.

His back nine started the same way as the previous round, with a bogey at the par-4 10th. On this day, however, Charley proved California cool was up to the challenge of taming the Bethpage State Park (Black) back side. He strung together seven solid pars before closing with his fourth birdie of the day, setting the stage for a weekend charge.

Charley and playing partner Luke Donald will tee off at 11:55 a.m. EDT on Saturday. That means his round will be in full swing when the cameras are rolling for Golf Channel (1-2:30) and CBS (3-6). Of course, you can watch full-day coverage of The Barclays online at PGA TOUR Live.

Flash Global, a leader in providing world-class service supply chain solutions around the globe, announced its partnership with Charley earlier this week. We’re proud to have him in the Flash family, and we’re pulling for him on his march to PGA TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola a few weeks from now in Atlanta!

But first things first, Charley: Let’s add a trophy from The Barclays this weekend!
