Editor’s note: This occasional blog series profiles Flash Global employees from all levels throughout the global organization. These are the men and women who bleed Flash orange, “own” their area of expertise, and have an insatiable appetite for driving success.
After graduating from Cicely Tyson School of Performing and Fine Arts in East Orange, I attended William Paterson University (in Wayne, N.J.) I started at Flash while attending WPUNJ, and soon developed an interest in in logistics.
As Quality Coordinator, I do a number of important tasks. Like performing root cause/corrective action analysis (RCCA) for our clients’ events and providing consistent and reliable feedback to the Command Center leadership in effort to drive continuous performance improvement. I am the key support liaison for all operational facets of the Command Center. I work closely with the Client Services team to make sure that everything is running as smooth as possible, and avoid service failures/customer impact.
For me, success means being able to step outside of my comfort zone and learn new things so that I am better equipped to execute successfully and help others succeed as well.
The people, no question. They keep me motivated, and I try my best to do the same for my team. I hold team awareness meetings to make sure everyone has a keen understanding of what’s going on and to keep everyone in the loop. I always want those around me to be better than me, so that maybe one day they can be in my position too. I love to have fun with everyone in the Command Center, and just create an overall welcoming atmosphere. I make sure that everyone’s fed, happy, and doing well — so that way, their 8 hours goes by just a little bit better.
If you can dream it, you can do it!
Paris, France. I travel quite a bit with my family and that’s one of the places where we haven’t visited. I’d absolutely love to go there.
Just shut up and listen! That’s something that we ALL wish we could tell our past selves.
One of my all-time favorite movies is The Little Mermaid, and as such, if I could, I would be the main character, Ariel.
