According to an article in the Washington Post on Friday, this practice started some 40 years ago and continued for decades, with him frequently posing as a publicist named “John Miller” or “John Barron.” He acknowledged using the name Barron under oath in 1990, The Post reported.
Today show reporters played a 14-minute recording live on the air on Friday, to which Trump responded: “This sounds like one of the scams, one of the many scams, doesn’t sound like me.”
In a roundabout way, Trump seems to be saying, the statements in that recording were … unauthorized.
