As President and CEO, Sam Mikles is a visionary who is driving Flash Global’s team effort to define what service supply chain can and should become in order to better serve customers who do business all over the world — and the industry is taking notice.
Sam is among those selected as 2017 Pros to Know in supply chain, an annual list of the top professionals in the supply chain industry published by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine. The honorees, selected from among 300 nominees, include supply chain executives, and manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises that are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies’ supply chains for the significant challenges and mass opportunities of today’s business climate.
Sam knows supply chain, having been in the industry for more than 20 years in various roles. Now, his passion — it’s an obsession, really — focuses on bringing service supply chain to the forefront for businesses of all sizes.
“I know what it’s like to be on the frontlines, seeking service-delivery nirvana, anywhere, anytime in some of the most challenging countries in the world. It’s from that perspective that I crafted our mission to provide seamless operations with outstanding operational performance, wrapping ourselves around every customer to create consistency, predictability and visibility in all that we do,” Sam says.
He knows how to drive performance that directly contributes to revenue acceleration, profitability growth and customer satisfaction. To accomplish those goals, Sam and the Flash team are migrating from a transactional mindset to a solutions-based approach.
“Flash is helping customers see across the service supply chain to form a cohesive strategy that drives strategic value. The key is understanding our customers’ challenges/opportunities and then proactively leveraging innovation and technology to create and ultimately deliver service solutions that work,” Sam said.
